На современном этапе в мире наблюдается тенденция к росту природно-очаговых клещевых трансмиссивных инфекций, не является исключением и Узбекистан. Клещевые риккетсиозы вызваны облигатными внутриклеточными бактериями, принадлежащими к группе пятнистой лихорадки рода Rickettsia. Эти зоонозы являются одними из старейших известных трансмиссивных В последние десятилетия во многих странах мира отмечается рост выявления природно-очаговых заболеваний, вызываемых риккетсиями, которые объединены в группу клещевых пятнистых лихорадок (КПЛ).
