Ushbu maqola hozirgi kunda tibbiyotning dolzarb muammolaridan biri hisoblangan ichak chandiqlanish muammosining uchrashi va unga olib keluvchi muammolarga bag’ishlanadi. Ichak devori epiteliy, biriktiruvchi to’qima va mushak qatlamlaridan iborat. Shilliq qavat sirtida burmalar, kriptalar va ingichka ichak vorsinkalari mavjud. Asosan surunkali yallig’lanish jarayonlari davomida ichakda chandiqlanish rivojlanadi. Ayniqsa, Kron kasalligi kabi ichak yallig’lanishi bilan kechadigan holatlarda, regeneratsiya vaqtida to’qimaning normal arxitekturasi tiklanmasa, hujayradan tashqari matritsaning ortiqcha cho’kishi va miofibroblastlarning to’planishi chandiq hosil bo’lishiga olib keladi.
