Синдромы мальабсорбции и мальдигестии представляют собой важную проблему гастроэнтерологии и инфекционных заболеваний. Они характеризуются нарушением переваривания и всасывания питательных веществ в желудочно-кишечном тракте. Одной из значимых причин данных нарушений являются паразитарные инфекции кишечника, особенно распространённые в странах с низким уровнем санитарии и ограниченным доступом к чистой воде. Паразитарные заболевания могут вызывать структурные и функциональные изменения слизистой оболочки тонкой кишки, приводящие к нарушению всасывания жиров, углеводов, белков, витаминов и микроэлементов.
