Advertising Policy

The Publisher maintains a strict separation between advertising activities and editorial decision-making. Advertising, sponsorship, or other commercial relationships do not influence the selection, peer review, acceptance, rejection, editing, or publication of manuscripts.

1. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific quality, originality, methodological validity, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Advertisers, sponsors, commercial partners, or other third parties have no authority over editorial decisions.

The Editor-in-Chief retains final authority regarding the acceptance or rejection of advertisements appearing in the journal or on the journal website.

2. Identification of Advertising

All advertisements must be clearly identifiable as advertising and must be visually distinguishable from editorial and scientific content.

Advertising material must not be presented in a way that could reasonably lead readers to believe that it represents editorial endorsement, peer-reviewed content, or an official recommendation of the journal or publisher.

3. Separation from Editorial Content

Advertising must not be intentionally placed in a manner that implies a relationship between an advertisement and a specific article, author, editorial, or scientific conclusion.

The placement or sale of advertising is not linked to the publication of particular manuscripts or editorial content.

4. Acceptable Advertising

The Publisher reserves the right to review and reject any advertisement that is considered:

  • misleading or deceptive;

  • scientifically unsupported;

  • unethical;

  • discriminatory;

  • unlawful;

  • inconsistent with public health principles;

  • harmful to patients, healthcare professionals, or the public;

  • inconsistent with the reputation or ethical standards of the Publisher.

Advertisements for products or services known to cause serious harm to health may be refused.

5. Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Advertising

Advertising relating to medicines, medical devices, healthcare services, diagnostic products, or other health-related products must comply with applicable national laws, regulatory requirements, and accepted industry standards.

Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement of the advertised product, service, company, or organization by the Publisher, journal, editors, or Editorial Board.

6. Sponsorship

Financial sponsorship does not provide sponsors with influence over editorial content or publication decisions.

Any sponsored content, supplement, special issue, or other sponsored material must be clearly identified as such.

Where applicable, the source of sponsorship must be disclosed transparently.

7. Conflicts of Interest

Editors and staff involved in evaluating advertising must disclose any relevant financial or other conflicts of interest.

Commercial relationships must not compromise editorial independence or the integrity of the scientific record.

8. Online Advertising

Advertising displayed on journal websites must remain clearly distinguishable from scholarly content.

The Publisher does not permit advertisements to be presented in a manner that interferes with the interpretation of scientific content or creates the appearance of editorial endorsement.

9. Complaints About Advertising

Readers, authors, reviewers, or other stakeholders may raise concerns regarding advertisements published by the Publisher.

Complaints will be reviewed objectively, and advertisements may be modified or removed where they violate this policy, applicable regulations, or accepted ethical standards.

10. No Editorial Influence

Receipt of advertising revenue does not guarantee favorable editorial treatment, publication, citation, or promotion of any manuscript, product, organization, or service.

Commercial considerations are kept separate from editorial and peer-review processes.

11. Policy Review

The Publisher may revise this policy periodically to ensure continued compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and internationally recognized best practices in scholarly and biomedical publishing.
